2025 Easter Egg Hunt

EGGS, EGGS and More EGGS
PLAN FOR THE EASTER EGG HUNT & PICNIC
SATURDAY, April 19
9:00 – 11:00am.

The DreamHill Estates Neighborhood Association Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at the DEERC property at 6802 Dorothy Louise Dr.

This year, as part of our Easter celebrations, we’re adding a sprinkle of excitement with a Silent Dessert Auction! All proceeds will help maintain our cherished community building, ensuring it remains a wonderful place for all our gatherings.

Come with your sweet tooth ready and your bidding spirit high! Whether you’re eyeing a decadent cake, a scrumptious pie, or an irresistible batch of cookies, your winning bid will not only score you a delightful treat but will also contribute to our neighborhood’s ongoing improvements.

Feeling generous? If you’d like to donate a dessert to the auction and showcase your baking talents, please let us know! Just send an email to info@dreamhill.org, and tell us about the sweet masterpiece you plan to bring.

Join us for a day of fun, frolic, and fabulous desserts. Let’s make this Easter egg-stra special for everyone!

Candy / Egg Donation – For each child please drop off at least a dozen prefilled plastic Easter eggs to Gloria’s and Bart’s at 4827 EBM any day between Sunday (4/13) through Friday (4/18) between 8:00AM and 6:00PM.

NO Confetti or real eggs please!!

There will be a variety of games and activities planned for the kids such as a tug-o-war, water relay, and pinata in addition to the egg hunt.

Past Events

Parking will be available on the street as the space on the property will be used for the events. Please keep your vehicle on the pavement and do not park on a neighbor’s lawn. We ask that everyone park on one side of the street only so we do not hinder traffic.

Beside the primary hunting territory, there will be a roped off area just for toddler egg-hunters. Following the egg hunt, there will be a succession of games for all the kids as usual, as well as a piñata for the big bash.

This is usually one of the most fun events of the year as it tends to attract all ages, with a good showing of kids, parents and grandparents, as well as friends of each age group.

There will be a cookout as usual following the frantic search for eggs – look for yummy sausage and hot dogs in buns or tortillas, chips and drinks as well as meet-and-greets with all our neighbors and friends.

If you wish, bring your favorite sweet treat to share with neighbors.

2024 Halloween Hayride

Halloween Hayride Banner

Creep’n it Real…

Dreamhill will host its traditional Halloween Hayride on Monday, October 31 at 6:00pm. An evening of fun … and spooks awaits. Kids of all ages are welcome to join the fun by meeting at Triangle Park (corner of Betty Lou and West Beverly Mae) at 6:00PM to catch a ride around the neighborhood in ‘hay-ride style’.

We will have two trailers loaded with hay for those wanting to ride in style around the hood. Neighbors who want trick-or-treaters are encouraged to meet the kids at the curb or leave a light on so the drivers will know where to stop as they circle the hood. If you want to join the hayride and also give out candy, you can bring your candy to the the little goblins and dole it out before we leave Triangle Park.

For those not interested in going on the hayride, feel free to join in with a neighbor’s yard party. In past years, neighbors hold impromptu yard parties, in part to make it easier to deliver the goods to the treat seekers and in part to encourage neighbors to get together and join the fun.

2024 Neighbors Together

Every year San Antonio holds a “Neighbors Together” event. It is a time for neighbors to gather, meet each other, and share stories. This year the event is on Tuesday, 1 Oct. DENA has invited our San Antonio Police Department SAFFE Officer (Officer Fraga) to meet with us between 6 – 7:30 pm at the DENA clubhouse. DENA is planning to provide $10 BBQ plates at the event.

All funds raised will go to maintaining the clubhouse and to future neighborhood events. Even if you don’t want to eat the oh, so delicious BBQ, you are welcome to join us….but if you want to partake of the oh, so delicious BBQ, then we need to know in advance, so please RSVP.

*BBQ plate will consist of: chicken, sausage, beans, rice, pickles, slice of bread.

You must reserve your plates in advance. Cost of the plates will be $10 each.

Don’t miss out. Use the form below to make your reservations.

In order to ensure we have enough food at the event, use the form below to RSVP. Once you make your reservations, you will get an email with a venmo link and instructions how to pay with cash/check.

To eat or not to eat??
That is the question.
Oops!!!

The deadline for ordering a BBQ plate has sadly passed us by. But, all neighbors are welcome to stop by for the event whether you eat or not. So, if you find yourself in the neighborhood (and you should because you live there), swing by just to say ‘Hello’. You can meet our SAPD SAFE and join in some great conversations with your neighbors. Who knows?? There may be a couple of extra plates (no promises).
