NEW WEB SITE NEEDS A COMMITTEE
We are in the process of establishing a new web site for the neighborhood. The Board decided it would be very beneficial to have a committee that would take hold of this in order to keep all material and information current on a continuous basis. We are looking for people who would like to be a part of this. If you have web experience and can contribute your talents and a little time, we need you. If you have a child who has IT experience, perhaps needs some school credit for a project or to earn community service in the Scouts, we need them too! *** 2014 NEIGHBORHOOD BOARD ELECTIONS ***
On October 24th we will have a monthly Board meeting. At that meeting there will be the annual election of Board members and officers. Most all of the current Board members have been serving a few years now. Many good things have come as a result of those who have served in the past and present, but there is “always a need” for new faces and fresh ideas.
We are in a critical stage right now to replenish the Board and its officers. The number one thing I hear as to why more people don’t want to become involved is because of time. That’s understood, but it does not take as much time as you think! I would ask anybody right now who has even the slightest hesitation about a time commitment to contact any Board member and talk to them.
Board Members are: Vicki Chew, Calvin Finch, Herb Rippa, Roland Rojas, Sherri Lipper, Gloria Kelly, Eric Rojas, Thelma Franco, and Keith Trawick.
We really would like to hear from you! The next Board meeting is September 26th at 7:15pm in the Clubhouse.

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
October 1st** is National Night Out. This year is going to be different. Roland and Lorie Rojas have offered to sponsor the event which will be held at the Clubhouse grounds. They promise to have good food for all and games for the kids! If you would like to help with this event please contact Lorie at 949-0077. More details will follow soon.

NEW DIRECTORY FINALLY COMING
Earlier this year several of you mailed back the form we sent with the survey to update your contact information. Unfortunately we were not able to put the Directory together sooner than now, so we’d like to collect updates again starting now. We will give those of you who attend the breakfast on Monday an opportunity to fill out your information there. In case we miss you on Monday, we will be sending out a contact form via email (separate from now) for you to return. And when all else fails, for those who we weren’t able to reach otherwise, someone will contact you. The goal is to collect everybody’s information and get a new Directory within the next few months.

COPPER THIEVES
It was a pretty quiet summer in Dreamhill Estates. Unfortunately, this past week a home on Betty Lou was victimized by thieves who stole the copper line from their air conditioner! Just wanted to make you aware of the situation, and ask that you all keep your eyes and ears open for anything or anyone suspicious hanging out or driving around our neighborhood.
