Easter Egg Hunt Declared a Hippity-Hopity Success
As most neighbors know, around this time every year, the neighborhood becomes momentarily infested with frantic, and quite competitive, egg hunters. This year was no exception. The egg hunters descended upon the Clubhouse on the Saturday before Easter Sunday and were relentless in their pursuit of finding every last candy-filled treasure hidden on the property by the Easter Bunny’s assistants. They also competed in several fun games including the water relay and the pinata.
Many thanks to the neighbors who helped put on the show: First a big Dreamhill Thank You goes to Gloria Kelly for organizing the entire event as the Event Chairperson for DENA. Thanks also to the team: Joe, Bart and Dale for their expert lawn work before the event; Suzanne and Al for creating a most impressive egg collection station the week before the event; our cooks Abel, Bart and Dale for perfecting the grilled sausages and hot dogs; Rosemary picked up the piñata; Ron brought the games and was the piñata master puller to keep the kids on their toes (literally); Tessie donated the piñata candy; Winnie donated raffle prizes; our games masters Winnie, Rose and Kitty organized the games and herded all the rabbits; Winnie, Herb and Malcolm for help with setup and cleanup – actually everyone on the team was there early to setup and stayed after to help cleanup…So many thanks to the entire team for another successful event.
Events like the Easter Egg Hunt, July 4th Parade and Picnic and the Holiday Party only happen because as a neighborhood, we all pitch in. If you are interested in helping at an event or would like to attend a DENA Meeting, please reach out and let us know. (info@dreamhill.org / 210-775-1824). Join in the fun. It’s a great way to get to know your neighbors. Our annual events are one of the many things that make living in Dreamhill Estates so special.
EGGS, EGGS and More EGGS
PLAN FOR THE EASTER EGG HUNT & PICNIC
SATURDAY, March 30
9:00 – 11:00am.
The DreamHill Estates Neighborhood Association Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at the DEERC property at 6802 Dorothy Louise Dr.
Candy / Egg Donation – For each child please drop off at least a dozen prefilled plastic Easter eggs to the Cantu’s at 6907 DL any day between Monday (3/25) through Friday (3/29) between 8:00AM and 8:00PM.
NO Confetti or real eggs please!!
There will be a variety of games and activities planned for the kids such as a tug-o-war, water relay, and pinata in addition to the egg hunt.

Parking will be available on the street as the space on the property will be used for the events. Please keep your vehicle on the pavement and do not park on a neighbor’s lawn. We ask that everyone park on one side of the street only so we do not hinder traffic.
Beside the primary hunting territory, there will be a roped off area just for toddler egg-hunters. Following the egg hunt, there will be a succession of games for all the kids as usual, as well as a piñata for the big bash.
This is usually one of the most fun events of the year as it tends to attract all ages, with a good showing of kids, parents and grandparents, as well as friends of each age group.
There will be a cookout as usual following the frantic search for eggs – look for yummy sausage and hot dogs in buns or tortillas, chips and drinks as well as meet-and-greets with all our neighbors and friends.
If you wish, bring your favorite sweet treat to share with neighbors.
