Please be at the large triangle in costume at 6:00pm on Thursday evening, October 31st.
If you prefer trick or treaters not come up to your door, “please” do not leave any porch lights on

HOLIDAY PARTY SET
Every year we try to have a holiday party in the neighborhood. This year it will be hosted by
Sherri Lipper and Vicki Chew at 4910 Belle Ellen. The date is Saturday evening, December 7th,
7-10pm. Please mark the date!

YOUR NEIGHBORS FEATURED!
In the last Newsletter (the PDF Version) there was nice section written about some of our neighbors and their
children. There was some information in error about the Obregon’s, and we apologize. We have
attached a corrected version for your reading pleasure.
Frank and Rose Obregon’s twin daughters, Gabby and Genny, have gone further afield. Gabby, who
graduated Notre Dame, is working at a law firm in Chicago and married to a Chicagoan and fellow Notre
Dame grad. Genny who earned her degree in Language at Georgetown University, is back in Texas, at
least for a while, completing her PhD in Physical Therapy at UT Medical Branch in Galveston. She’s doing
her clinicals at the VA Hospital here, and back home with mom and dad for some weeks. Son Marcus is a
lead biologist at Edison International in Breia, CA.
We’re sure there are lots more good news stories out there, so contact Judy McCarter
(judy.mccarter@gmail.com) or Vicki Chew (dobie4910@gmail.com) with family news – with so many
people living in the neighborhood for decades and watching these kids grow up, lots of us would like to
catch up with what our one--time neighborhood babies and other friends are doing.

2014 NEIGHBORHOOD BOARD
ELECTION RESULTS
On October 24th we had our monthly Board meeting with the annual nominations and election
for the new Board. Your new Dreamhill Estates Neighborhood Board (DENA) and Officers are:
Vicki Chew-President, Jeremiah Leibowitz-Vice President, Herb Rippa-Treasurer, Sherri Lipper-
Secretary, Roland Rojas, Calvin Finch, Gloria Kelly, Eric Rojas, Rose Obregon, Pam Massey,
and Keith Trawick.
There is still one position open, so if you are interested in becoming a Board member please
join us at the monthly meetings. All neighbors are welcome every month!

THANKSGIVING TRASH COLLECTION
A reminder with Thanksgiving coming up next month, our usual trash collection that is on
Thursday will be one day earlier, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 27th.

It is a work in progress, but the new website is being built. You may look at it by going to
www.dreamhillestates.com Eventually we will post everything out there and send you notices to
get the latest.
Also DEERC, who is handling the fundraising effort for the new resource center, has their
website now for you to get information. That site is www.godreamhill.com Please go out and get
caught up on what is being done and how you can help with tiles and pledges!
