ANOTHER MEMORABLE HALLOWEEN HAYRIDE
As the sun retired and our Dreamhill ghosts and spirits began willowing through the ancient oaks, this year’s Halloween Hayride went down as another memorable neighborhood event. This year’s armada of two tractors and trailers were provided by Calvin Finch, Jeremiah Leibowitz, and Zach Dempsey, and the hay was supplied from Mitchell Lake’s Fall Festival. A huge thank you to all of our neighbors who kept your porch lights on or camped out along the road to treat the gathering of goblins, ninjas, princesses, and tigers that descended on Dreamhill to a safe, fun-filled Halloween night; the neighborhood support of candy givers was outstanding.
A few honorable mentions that really energized the crowd were Richard Francey’s graveyard and strobe light ensemble and the Lewis’ oversized Cheshire cat bathed in the haunting glow of orange lights.
All told, approximately 50 parents/children and an entourage of strollers from in and outside the neighborhood participated in the event. Thank you to everyone who invited friends and family to share in our neighborhood’s Halloween spirit. Kids and adults alike thoroughly enjoyed the event and we look forward continuing our tradition next year.

COYOTE ROAMS DREAMHILL ESTATES
I guess our neighborhood would not be complete in wildlife without some of the Medical Center coyotes! Two times this past week a “well fed” coyote was seen strolling along West Beverly Mae one time and then East Beverly Mae days later. A reminder that we share our quaint, little community with a lot of wildlife. Coyotes have been in the Medical Center for a long time so it
makes sense they’d find their way here…and they like small animals like cats, small dogs and other creatures of that size. Be conscientious when letting your pets outside.

AS 2013 CLOSES…
As President of DENA, it has been my pleasure each year at this time to give thanks to so many people that provide the support it takes to have all the very successful and fun Dreamhill Estates events and make our community safe. To start with, I can never thank those enough who have served on the Board of Directors for their commitment to make meetings, be a part of decision making that effects all of us, and to help with the events we all as neighbors participate in throughout the year. But there are other things that happen behind the scenes throughout the year like the triangles getting mowed, the clubhouse property being mowed and trimmed, signs being posted, the ladies who host monthly coffees, and my favorite…the many emails and phone calls I receive with information to pass along that you receive via emails. “Thank you” for caring enough about your neighbors and Dreamhill Estates!
May you all have a wonderful holiday season and prosperous 2014.
Sincerely yours,
Vicki Chew
DENA President
