GET READY FOR THE HALLOWEEN HAYRIDE
Halloween is quickly approaching. This has always been a huge success as neighborhood
goblins of all ages hitch a ride on the hay trailers or walk along for the fun. Two of our neighbors
have volunteered to hook up their trailers to make this another success.
Please be at the large triangle in costume at 6:00pm on Thursday evening, October 31st.
A side note, if you prefer trick or treaters not come up to your door, “please” do not leave any
porch lights on until after 9:00pm. Everybody have a great time!!

BRUSH / BULKY ITEMS COLLECTION and CITY CODE
As you all know we just had brush collection. What some neighbors found out was that City
Code Compliance has started driving around neighborhoods the week before pickup to see if
there are any unauthorized items stacked out by the street! So as a FYI, please go online and
review the list of all items authorized “and” unauthorized before the next collection. I do not
know this for sure, but I would think this would apply for the bulky items as well.

REMINDER for the 2014 NEIGHBORHOOD
BOARD ELECTIONS
On October 24th we will have our monthly Board meeting. At that meeting there will be the
annual election of Board members and officers. There is “always a need” for new faces and
fresh ideas.
If you are interested or if you want to nominate someone else, please submit the name(s)
directly to me by email at milohadm@gmail.com. All nominations must be turned in NLT
October 22nd to go on the ballot. All members of the Board and neighborhood residents who
want to vote must be in good standing having paid annual neighborhood dues.
Currently the Board Members are: Vicki Chew, Calvin Finch, Herb Rippa, Roland Rojas, Sherri
Lipper, Gloria Kelly, Eric Rojas, Thelma Franco, and Keith Trawick. Even if you don’t want to be
on the Board you can still support the neighborhood by attending meetings and voting in the
2014 Board of Directors.
We “thank you” for your interest!
