Weekly Update – June 15th Edition

Dreamhill Walkabout Tomorrow

It’s time for Walkabout Wednesday (6/16) this week!. Join Your neighbors at 7:30 pm for a walkabout the neighborhood.

One group will start at the corner of Belle Ellen and EBM and another group will start at the Triangle park (Betty Lou and WBM). Each group will start walking at 7:30 and we will meet in the middle at the small triangle park (Betty Lou and EBM). Feel free to join in the walk at any point along the way. Afterward, you can continue to walk the entire loop, turn around and walk back, or jump off as we pass your house. Join us for whatever part of the walk works for you.

It’s a great way to get in your daily steps, meet some fellow neighbors and learn more about the goings on in the neighborhood.

If it’s raining, we won’t walk. Hope to see you out there.

July 4th Parade and Picnic

Get out your flags and your red, white and blue. It’s time for our annual Fourth of July Parade with a wonderful cookout of hot dogs, and watermelon and other Independence Day fare.

The festivities will begin at 9:30 as we gather at Triangle Park, at the corner of Dorothy Louise and West Beverly Mae.

The local police and firefighters will escort the parade (assuming there is not an emergency they have to attend to). We will make our usual lap around the neighborhood ending at the DEERC Building. We encourage everyone to walk, ride, drive, or jog along with us. Calvin will pull a trailer with his tractor for those who do who want a ride.
After the parade, join us at the DEERC Grounds (The old clubhouse grounds at 6802 Dorothy Louise Drive) for hotdogs and other goodies. This is a great opportunity to see the wonderful progress of the new building.

We still need funds to help complete the finish out of the new building. So along with the good food we will host a silent auction. All proceeds will go to finishing the new building. We are still looking for items to auction, so if you have items, products or services you would like to donate, please contact Gloria Kelly at: info@dreamhillestates.com
